Performing Arts and Voice
Performing Arts Program
Children enrolled in the Performing Arts program
will work together to create a musical performance for family
and friends. The class will begin with theater games to help
develop characters and creativity. After the group begins
together, they will be learning songs and dances and stage
direction for their production as well as helping to create
the script along the way.
In addition, participants will
create scenery and props. Children can participate as a singer,
actor or both depending on their comfort level. Children
will receive both group and individual instruction. Drama
Participation develops kids in the following areas: acting
skills, creative thinking, speaking skills, confidence, leadership
abilities and self esteem.
Classes held at Crosspointe Baptist
Church 9810 NE 76th St. Vancouver, WA 98662 (1/2 mile from
Musical Beginnings).
Classes are 16 weeks of instruction plus a
dress rehearsal and performance. Classes will be held on Tuesday afternoons;
exact time will be determined based on age group interest.
Classes have a minimum of 5 students and a
maximum of 20.

Private & Semi-Private Voice Lessons
Private lessons are available for adults and children 6
years and older. They are available, upon request, for beginning
and intermediate students. Lessons are available afternoons,
evenings, and weekends; please call to schedule the best
time for you.
We focus on proper techniques for warming up the voice, using the correct speaking voice, developing strong and healthy breathing, articulation, enunciation, pitch, and phonation techniques; as well as broadening a singer's repertoire.
Monthly lessons are made up of four 30 minute sessions. Lessons can begin anytime during the year.
