Kindermusik for the Young Child (4.5 to 7 Years)
Kindermusik for the Young Child provides a pressure-free developmentally appropriate transition where your child can musically succeed before taking on more formal instruction.
Kindermusik for the Young Child provides a group approach to music education which offers children a unique opportunity to develop a working knowledge of vocal development, rhythm, notation, musical symbols and simple pre-keyboard, string, and woodwind instruments. Through creative learning and movement activities, your child begins to read music and to create musical compositions; preparing themselves for more serious music study in the future.
Young Child is a 4 semester program over a 2 year period. Children begin by learning to play the glockenspiel and continue to work on the glockenspiel throughout the entire program. During the second year, children learn to play the dulcimer, the recorder, and simple songs on the piano.
